1. Introduction

IBStress ("the Application," "we," "our") is a generative AI peer-mentoring platform designed for educational support. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to data minimization, user privacy, and the secure handling of information when interacting with our services and integrated third-party platforms, specifically Google Drive.

2. Data Collection and Processing

We adhere to the principle of "Data Minimization." We only process the information strictly necessary to provide the Application's core functions.

Temporary Session Data: To maintain context during a conversation, the Application retains a temporary record of the current dialogue. This data is stored in your browser’s volatile memory (sessionStorage) and is purged upon the termination of the browser tab or session.
Google Drive Integration: By granting access to Google Drive, the Application is authorized for Read-Only access. We do not store, modify, or delete your files. The access token is held locally in your browser and is not persisted on our servers.
Non-Personal Feedback Data: We collect specific interaction logs only when a user voluntarily submits an optional "Feedback" report or a "thumbs up/thumbs down" interaction log.

3. The Anonymization Protocol ("Censoring Agent")

To ensure the privacy of our student community, all voluntary submitted feedback and interaction metrics undergoes an automated Sanitization Process before permanent storage.

Redaction: Our proprietary "Censoring Agent" scans all voluntary submitted feedback text to identify and redact Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including but not limited to: legal names, email addresses, and student identification numbers.
Purpose: These anonymized logs are used solely for the technical improvement of the Application’s response accuracy and performance.
Data Security: All data in transit is protected by industry-standard TLS encryption.

5. User Responsibilities & Academic Integrity

AI Guidance: IBStress provides general peer guidance. It is not an official representative of the International Baccalaureate (IB) or your school. Users must verify all critical information with official curriculum documents.
Wellness Warning: This Application is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are experiencing high levels of distress, please contact a school counselor or a licensed professional.
Academic Honesty: Users are expected to utilize this tool in compliance with their institution’s Academic Integrity policies. IBStress is an aid for understanding and organization, not a tool for unauthorized assessment completion.

6. Your Rights

Under the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), you have the right to know how your data is handled. Since IBStress does not maintain user accounts or permanent personal databases, the "Right to Erasure" is inherently satisfied by closing your session.

7. Limitation of Liability

The creator of IBStress shall not be held liable for any academic outcomes, technical errors, or data issues resulting from the use of this experimental tool. Use of the Application constitutes acceptance of these terms.
